General Purpose

Provide quality coaching or facility supervision for youth athletic flag football. Hours are less than 20 per week and require evenings and weekends.

Coach - 5:30-6:30 pm, M/W and/or T/Th, plus Sat games.

Facility Supervisor - 7:00 am-3:00 pm, Sat *All times approximate.

Approximate dates of employment:

Coach - 9/4 - 10/20/2018

Facility Supervisor - 9/15 - 10/20/2018

Our Position

Coach: ($10.80/hr) Instruct participants, develop and implement lesson plans, inspects classroom/program environment and equipment to ensure safety, complete administrative tasks including skill assessments, attendance, class evaluations, and more.

Facility Supervisor: ($12.00/hr) Provide on-site supervision of classes, practice, and games. Scheduling/training of coaches and referees. Complete administrative tasks, inventory equipment and supplies, prepares fields and playing areas.

Our Candidate

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Strong knowledge of rules and regulations of sport required. Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to work with a diverse group of people effectively and diplomatically. Strong customer service skills and communication skills are required. Ability to handle difficult situations involving participants with patience, good judgment, and diplomacy. May be required to obtain First Aid and C.P.R. certification within (30) days of employment.

Education and/or formal training:

Course work in recreation, education or related field preferred.

Working Environment and Required Background Checks

Must be able to physically lead and demonstrate the skill/activity. May require pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing,positioning and moving heavy equipment. Incumbent must posses the strength and stamina to perform strenuous physical activity.
