POSITION: BuyerDUTIES: This is a project-based position reporting to the Contracts/Procurement Manager. The Buyer is responsible for procuring services andmaterials for a major industrial project. This involves sourcing suppliersthat are best suited to achieve project quality, cost, and delivery goals.* Identify potential sources for the procurement of project productionmaterial and generate measurable cost savings on a continuous basis* Conduct ah-hoc analysis requests, forecasts, KPIs/Metrics, andreports within Supply Chain using tools but not limited to SAP R/3, BI,established tools .and. process* Review purchase requisition and purchase orders for completeness,accuracy, and conformance with established policies and procedures* Confer and negotiate with suppliers to obtain product or serviceinformation such as price, availability and delivery schedule* Prepare and generate purchase order and change notices* Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers and forward all necessarydocumentation for invoicing approval and payment* Responsible to utilize basic order agreements issued with suppliers andmonitor agreements* Present information to top management and various stakeholders* Undertake supplier visits, compiling visit reports on completion. ** Developing process improvements to the internal supplier chain, includingbetter utilization of systemsREQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logisticsor Engineering* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, APICS certification a plusOTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, required* Ability to coordinate multiple work schedules (i.e. the 5 day 8 hour, 4day 10 hour, 9 day 80 hour, and other work schedules as applicable)* Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain goodworking relationships with employees and members of managementPREFERRED SKILLS:* Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and supply chain practiceshighly valuedWAGE: Negotiable DOESHIFTS: Discuss with EmployerJOB SITE: Pueblo CoBENEFITS: Full company benefits package to include medical, dental, vision,defined pension plan, profit sharing, and 401K matching.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for thisposition, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.You must be registered with Connecting Colorado to view the applicationinformation (registration is available at no cost).
