POSITION: Maintenance TechnicianDUTIES: This position ensures operation of machinery and mechanicalequipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors,pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Responsiblefor following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer'sinstructions, and engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.* Respond to repair requests of production equipment and building equipment.* Perform preventive maintenance tasks on all machinery.* Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes ofmalfunctions.* Inspects machinery for proper function and diagnoses machinerymalfunctions; performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determineproblems with non-functioning machinery.* Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles machinery according toblueprints, operating or repair manuals, and schematics.* Comply with plant safety rules, GMP's, and OSHA standards.* Support the Production Department in order to manufacture safe, qualityproducts.* Performs other duties as assigned or required.REQUIREMENTS:* High School Diploma or GED.* Experience in all areas of electrical maintenance, including 3 phasemotors and variable frequency drives and controls and troubleshooting.* Experience in welding.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Must have mechanical/technical aptitude* Extensive knowledge of Vertical Form Fill bagging equipment, weighingequipment, dicing equipment, and conveying.* The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment background check anddrug screen.* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, orgovernmental regulations.* Ability to write reports, correspondence, and provide input intoprocedure manuals.* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, and others as needed.* Ability to apply mathematical, statistical, and scientific principlesused in food industry. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,circumference, and volume.* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists.* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,oral, diagram, or schedule form.* Equipment maintenance, electrical knowledge, general plant maintenance.* Must be self-starter and ability to work independently with little directsupervision.* Must be able to work in a team setting to include a strong personalaccountability, and the ability to build excellent working relationshipswith a team.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent interpersonal skills.PREFERRED SKILLS:* Experience with Fabrication and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding withstainless steel to ensure a food-safe surface.* 5 years' of recent work experience performing maintenance in food-production facility or like industry.WAGE: Negotiable DOESHIFTS: 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday - (Must be able andflexible to working various shifts including nights, weekends, andovertime to meet the needs of the company).JOB SITE: Pueblo CoBENEFITS: Employer Benefit package which includes year-end bonus, andcompany-funded pension plan.
