As a team we collaborate tosolve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growthand ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Mechanic to join our Maintenance team at our Pueblo,Colorado location. As a mechanic, you will overhaul, service, and repairmobile equipment in a safe manner. This position reports to the MaintenanceSuperintendent.* Troubleshoot, determine and obtain parts and make necessary repairs tomobile equipment* Perform service, cutting, and welding* Overhaul engines, transmissions, and differentials* Operate most mobile equipment.* Make out records for jobs on each piece of equipment* Use hand and pneumatic tools, steam cleaner, jacks, hoists, hydraulicpress, torches, tips, welders, forklifts, boom crane, trucks, travel lifts,straddle carriers, crimping machine, diagnostic equipment, oils, lubricants,gaskets and necessary safety equipment* Observe all safety rules and LOTO procedures* Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly* Perform routine maintenance and assists Maintenance personnel* Provide direction and instruction to others in the trainee program* Work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, while exposedto elevated noise levels, vibrations, extreme cold, and heat; closeproximity to moving parts and vehicles; exposure high-heat, hot surfaces,chemicals, grease, and oils; utilize respirator as conditions require* Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required* Additional tasks as assignedRequirements* Must complete or have the equivalent of a Mechanic Apprenticeship1 3 years of experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining;experience working with machinery, equipment operation, or a closely relatedfield preferred* Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes, and spaces; ableto take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions* Valid Colorado Drivers License* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervisionand manage your time when given multiple tasks* Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability tocollaborate effectively with all levels of personnel* Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl,make repetitive motions, hear, etc., and the ability to occasionally exertforces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push and pull* Qualified Candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency throughtestingThe above statement reflects the general details considered necessary todescribe the principal functions of the job identified, and shall not beconstrued as a detailed description of all of the work requirements that maybe inherent in the job.* $23.80 - $27.66 per hour* Shift differentialOur total compensation package includes amazing benefits!* A bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizationalperformance* Family medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage at minimalemployee cost* Short and long term disability programs* Pension plan and (401k) with employer match* Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts* Employer-provided Group Life and Voluntary Life Insurance options* Paid vacations, sick time, and 10 paid holiday days per year* Apprenticeship and career advancement within the company* Tuition reimbursement* Wellness programAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered foremployment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerEVRAZ North America is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
