Thisposition reports to the Maintenance Superintendent, Manager of Safety,General Supervisors and Mill Maintenance Supervisors.Job Responsibilties:* Machines, Equipment & Materials Used: All shops machines andequipment, mobile equipment of every kind, all structures, productionequipment, Appropriate hand, power and measuring tools, prints anddrawings and necessary safety equipment. Machinery equipment, tools andmaterials that are used by welders and fabricators.* Reads prints, plans work, procedures and techniques, and obtaining andmoving of materials, tools, and equipment. Operates all equipment neededto complete the job. Directs others in conditioning and preparation. Observeslockout procedures.* Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.* Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly.* Performs routine maintenance and assists Maintenance personnel.Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:* Must possess an Associate Degree in welding or have completed a weldingapprenticeship.* Minimum one year experience in fabrication and welding.* Valid Colorado Drivers License Preferred Qualifications:* Welding Certifications desired.* Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining; or experienceworking with machinery, equipment operation or a closely related field.* HS Diploma or GED and a demonstrated pattern of stable work history* 12 Months experience in Machine Operation and General Labor.Essential Physical Activities: Must be able to climb, balance, stoop,kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift,carry, finger, Grasp, feel, talk to communicate, speak over publicaddress system, hear, and make repetitive motions. Needs to see to readprints and to weld. Constantly exerts forces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, pWork Conditions: Subject to both inside and outside environmentalconditions. Exposed to elevated noise levels and vibrations, and extremecold and heat. Physical Hazards - working on scaffolding and high places,exposure to high heat and hot surfaces.
