AFW prides itself on the upkeep of all facilities to give them a professionaland safe appearance. AFW is looking for a Building Maintenance Technician whois responsible for the day to day upkeep of the facility and grounds. TheBuilding Maintenance Technician will perform repairs including plumbing,framing, rack/upright repair, painting, minor welding, minormechanical repair, and drywall installation and removal. The BuildingMaintenance Technician will also assist with snow removal (CO storesonly), janitorial, grounds keeping and any other maintenance needs.Job Requirements-Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment(PPE).-Knowledge and ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.-Ability to be trained on Lock Out Tag Out (L.O.T.O) procedures and theability to perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures.-Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.-Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.-Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.Job Expectations-Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promoteawareness.-Working knowledge of overall building repairs.-Perform routine preventive maintenance to be sure the physical condition ofbuilding and grounds does not deteriorate.-Paint and repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster,drywall, and other parts of the building.-Installing, removing, and repairing angle iron.-Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems involving electrical, plumbing,and equipment repair or replacement.-Experience with hand tools and power tools.-Applicant must be a highly motivated individual willing to work in a teamorientated environment with minimal supervision.-Ability to work from ladders, lifts, or elevated platforms - indoors andoutdoors.-Ability to be cross trained in janitorial, grounds keeping, and operationof the recycling equipment.-Clean and maintain the equipment and work area.-Periodically empty all trash cans through the facility.-Operate snow removal equipment during the winter (For Colorado Stores) tokeep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe.-Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on all equipment.-Collaborate with the AFW management team to make sure the grounds and thebuilding are always properly cared and cleaned up to AFW standards.-Report all building issues and potential liabilities along withrecommendations for solving such issues to the AFW management team.-Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.-All training provided by AFWPhysical Requirements-Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas-Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily-Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.-Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of equipment, angleiron, etc. up to 100 lbs. frequently.-The Building Maintenance Technician requires lifting, bending,kneeling, stooping and moving equipment 8 hours or more daily.Physical Work Environment-Fluorescent Lighting-Concrete Flooring.-Climate effected by outside conditions including but not limited too extremeheat/cold.-Considerable exterior noise.-Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse.A pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must bepassed upon job offer.
