POSITION PURPOSE:

The Client Integration Architect position has oversight of software and device integration for items such as Fetalink, Anesthesia machines, kiosks, BCMA, BMDI and any other technology relating to a patient touching devices Biomed does not handle to ensure systems are designed, implemented and optimized to support the long and short term strategic goals of the organization.

The Client Integration Architect must draw from a wide knowledge of technology concepts, business and clinical workflows, and hospital strategic goals to enhance an integrated information technology system to meet all objectives.

This role on the team is fast paced, detailed oriented and essential to the overall stability of the Vail Health integrated systems.

  • Responsible for assessing organizational needs and troubleshooting problems and challenges within clinical systems.

  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking difficulties and collaborate with internal and external resources as needed.

  • Perform periodic checks to ensure systems are configured correctly to comply with confidentiality and security requirements.

  • Collaborate and coordinate across departments including medical and non-medical staff.

  • Work closely with other team members to organize and manage projects as required.

  • Effectively communicate with others to identify problems and/or concerns with systems and then be able to coordinate with internal as well as external resources to remedy problems identified.

  • Oversight of vendors and other members of the IT department to complete implementation and support related tasks.

  • Design and deliver training to new employees and/or provide in-service to existing staff members.

  • Travel to various locations to provide support services as needed.

  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend further investigation when appropriate to support continuous improvement of systems supporting patient care and informatics.

  • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Vail Health Values.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Experience:

  • Three years of direct experience in health care information technology required.

  • Previous experience with software, hardware, networking, programming, database analysis, and EMR is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and remediate complex issues that will require combining detailed knowledge from multiple information technology teams to solve.

  • Certification(s):

  • Hardware - A+ preferred

  • Networking - Network+ or CCNA preferred

  • Applications - MCSA preferred

  • Cerner – Training in FirstNet, PowerChart, Fetalink, RCM
