Software Engineer in Test Intern- SketchUp RandD TeamThis OpportunityThe SketchUp team in Boulder, CO is looking for a highly skilled and highlymotivated Software Engineer in Test Intern. Our core technologiesin spatial positioning, modeling, connectivity and data analytics enablecustomers to improve productivity, quality, safety, and sustainabilityin design, architecture, and construction.Education Requirements:Fresh graduate or working towards a BS/BA degree in Computer Science,Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.Key Responsibilities:Test web application, web APIs within an agile development environment.Develop and execute manual and automated tests and report test results.Report defects with a high level of detail to the software engineers.Verify fixed defects.Create and update regression test plans as needed.Create and update automated test suites as needed.Follow established guidelines in the testing of software products.Communicate the progress of testing activities and any blockers.Apply strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues.Skills/Experience desired:Working towards a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineeringor equivalent experienceStrong problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of software testing.Programming skills in one or more programming languages (Python, JAVA).Understanding of Client-Server architecture.Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.Familiarity with Web Services (RESTful APIs).Proactively prioritize and organize work.An aptitude for learning new technologies.Bonus Skills/Experience:Familiarity with Software testing automation frameworks.Familiarity with Git based source code repository.Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle.Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.Trimble Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative ActionEmployer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard torace, gender, age, color, religion, national origin, maritalstatus, disability, sexual orientation, status as a covered veteran inaccordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, or any otherprotected factor.
