Position Description:

We are looking for a motivated and capable Senior System Administrator with expertise in Linux and Storage technologies to join and provide technical leadership to our team of IT professionals. This will be an exciting opportunity to showcase and further develop your career with a wide variety of vendor platforms. Successfully supporting our corporate users will involve broad technical skills, a customer service mindset, effective self-management, and the professional attitude required to work within a large geographically diverse team and across departments. Our systems include Enterprise class SAN/NAS platforms, hyperconverged infrastructure, extensive virtualization environments for server based and VDI offerings, and support at the OS layer for Linux operating systems.

We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Westminster, CO. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your experience and support our Linux and Storage infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include working individually and with teams both within IT and across the company, including multiple geographical locations, to:

  • Architect and implement solutions for projects in both physical and virtual environments.

  • Configure, deploy and administer Linux based network distributed development and production environments.

  • Manage current storage infrastructure which consists of traditional enterprise level NAS and SAN technologies.

  • Act as a point of contact for project related support.

  • Produce configuration and maintenance documentation, and provide training as required.

  • Support and assist with integration of a variety of leading-edge Software Development and Engineering Tools.

  • Work with other IT teams to discuss, plan and coordinate activities related to upgrades, migrations and other maintenance.

  • Participate in an On-Call rotation to support 24x7 operations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Communicate complex issues in both oral and written form with terms clearly understood by technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Act as a team Lead, facilitating technical conversations and troubleshooting activities.

  • Follow proper Maxar and government change control process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Requires 5 years of relevant experience

  • 5 years of experience with Enterprise Storage, such as NetApp, Isilon, HNAS, Hitachi HUS-VM, Brocade FC switches, NAS and SAN.

  • Experience with storage protocols such as SMB, NFS, FCP, and object.

  • 5 years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu and VMware.

  • Ability to work both individually and in teams, in a dynamic and ever-changing environment using Agile / Scrum based methodology.

  • Evidence of continuing education relating to support tools for different environments.

  • High capacity for learning new technologies.

  • A team-oriented approach to solving technical problems.

  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, track and manage issues to completion.

  • Understanding or Experience with Cloud technology such as AWS.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Wiki, Confluence, Ansible, Puppet and Satellite applications.

  • Familiarity with Kubernates, OpenStack and Docker.

  • Experience in scripting and command line tools in UNIX and Linux using administrative languages such as Perl and Shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current/active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

  • Experience with OpenStack, Ovirt, and Citrix

  • Experience in Object Storage such as Ceph

  • Certifications in RedHat, SuSE, VMWare, and Security would be an asset.
